Co-Chair
Better World x Design is a student-led organization co-founded by Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Brown University students to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between students, educators, and designers. As co-chair, I led a team of 30+ students to organize our annual Better World x Design conference, as well as community workshops, guest lectures, and campus-wide networking events throughout the year for 300+ attendees annually.
In the past year, our social media has amassed over 2,000 followers and hosted leading designers such as Mindy Seu (author of Cyberfeminism Index) and David Sun Kong (Director of the MIT Media Lab's Community Biotechnology Initiative) to our 15th annual conference: KNOTS.
This experience led to invaluable opportunities to sharpen my skills in:
